An American that loves China by Harbey Peña Sandoval (HW)

Today, I went to Students Commons at 6:30 p.m. and I spoke with John Rutkowski. Let me introduce him. He is a student in World Studies, specifically, John is studying Political Science. When he was two years old, he and his family went to China. They lived there for three years. I asked if he remembered something from that age because he was pretty young, and he answered that he has many good memories. I didn’t ask about his memories because I thought it is a very personal question. I saw in his hands a Chinese dictionary, so I asked: Are you interested in learning Chinese?. He told me that he has been studying Chinese for three years. After that, I asked about his future plans. He said that he wants to work in China. His goal is to have a job in the Diplomatic Services with the Government of the United States of America. Also, he told me that he went to Beijing and Shanghai last summer for practicing his Chinese. I mentioned him my experience studying English at VCU, and how difficult it is to learn a new language. In the last part of our conversation, we shared some opinions about China because we believe that it will be the most important potency of the world.
