Are you stressed? by Harbey Peña

Last Friday, I went to Students Commons at 3:30 pm. There were a lot of people on the second floor. I saw a man that looked friendly, so I walked to him and asked: Do you have fifteen minutes for helping an international student? He answered, Yes I do. His name is Hezekiah Hodges, he is studying his last year in psychology. I asked him about his classes this year, and he said that he is taking three classes: stress management, history of psychology, and child psychology. I was interested about the first one. For continuing our conversation, I said that when I was working in Colombia, I felt stress because I had a lot of assignments. Next, I asked him what the stress symptoms are. He answered that there are basically three symptoms: butterflies in the stomach, adrenaline in your body, and sweat. Then, I asked him to give me some recommendations to control the stress. He told me that breathing is the most important tip. I asked how I can breathe correctly. He said that I should take 10 minutes and seat in a comfortable place. First, you inhale for your nose, and second, exhale from your mouth. Also, he said you can play any sports because it is good for liberating your stress. Finally, he recommended me practicing meditation.  In his opinion, all kind of meditation is good.  I thanked for his time, and said that I learned interesting things from him.
